The upper ring is suspended and the lower one is magnetic, so they rotate independently and keep moving on nothing but light through the windscreen. No battery, no switch, nothing to charge. The scent sits on a replaceable wood tablet, and rotation is what pushes it around the cabin.

Does it need direct sun?
No. Daylight through the windscreen is enough. There's no battery, no wire and no switch. The upper ring is suspended and the lower one is magnetic, so they turn independently at different speeds.
What happens when the scent runs out?
You swap the wood tablet and keep the unit. The concentration is adjustable if you want it subtler.
Does it just mask smells?
No. The oils include ingredients built to break down odour molecules instead of sitting on top of them. It gives off just enough warmth to help diffusion, nothing you'd feel in the cabin.
