A lidded bin with a waterproof lining, for the seat back or the footwell. It hangs from a strap or stands on its own. The flap keeps rubbish out of sight, but it is a cover rather than an airtight seal, so food waste on a hot day still needs emptying.
The lining is what matters. It's a genuine waterproof layer inside Oxford cloth, so coffee cups and food packaging don't soak through onto your carpet. The lid is a fold-over flap that holds shut with a front tab, and there's a soft rubber opening in the middle so you can push rubbish through one-handed without lifting anything. Everything stays down inside instead of piling up on top.

Will it leak on my carpet?
There's a genuine waterproof layer inside the Oxford cloth, and it's more than a coated outer. Coffee cups and food packaging don't soak through. Tip it out and rinse the liner when it needs it.
Does the lid actually stay shut?
The flap folds over the top and holds with a tab at the front, and the rubber opening in the middle lets you push rubbish through without opening it. It's a cover rather than an airtight seal. It keeps everything out of sight and stops things tipping out on a corner, but food waste on a hot day still needs emptying by the end of the trip.
