Frequently asked questions
Who is behind AutoGearia?
A small operation run from Sweden, selling car interior accessories and nothing else. There is no call centre. Email support@autogearia.com and a real person reads it and replies within one business day, Monday to Friday.
How much is shipping?
Free, on every order, everywhere we ship — no minimum, no code needed, and no extra charge appearing at checkout.
When will my order arrive?
Order Monday to Friday and it usually ships the same day; weekend orders go out on the next business day. From there it is typically 5–10 days to your door, wherever you are. A handful of items ship direct from the supplier and take 7–12 business days — those say so on their own product page, above the Add to cart button. Every order includes tracking. Full detail on our Shipping & Delivery page.
Will I pay customs or import duty?
Usually not — most orders arrive with nothing extra to pay. Prices do not include import VAT or duties, and depending on your country the carrier may collect an import charge on delivery. If that happens, send us the paperwork and we will cover it, so your order should never end up costing more than the checkout total.
Is my payment secure?
Payment is handled by Shopify Payments and the providers you see at the bottom of every page — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, MobilePay, Shop Pay and others. We never see or store your card details. The whole site runs over an encrypted connection.
Will it fit my car?
Almost everything here is universal — it plugs into a USB port, clips to an air vent, or sticks on. If you are not sure, email us your make, model and year before you order. We will check and tell you straight, including when the answer is no.
Do I need tools to fit any of this?
Rarely — most items clip on, stick on or plug into a USB port or vent. A few have a size or a shape to check first: the steering wheel cover is hand-stitched on with the needle in the box, the rubber floor mats trim to fit, the bear vent diffuser needs horizontal vent blades, and the fibre-optic ambient kit needs a panel gap to tuck into. Each of those says so on its own product page, above the Add to cart button.
Do you sell a fibre optic star headliner kit?
No. It is the thing we are asked for most often and do not stock. If you want a roof full of fixed pinpoint stars, buy it from a specialist who can advise on strand count and light engine for your particular roof.
It is a real install job, and worth knowing why before you buy one anywhere: the headliner has to come down, and on most cars built since around 2000 there are curtain airbags, their inflators and ducts, crash sensors and wiring behind it. Do not cut, pierce or route fibres anywhere near the airbag line. If you are not confident identifying it in your own car, have a trim specialist do the fitting — it is usually about an hour of their time, and it is the right call. Our fitting guide covers the whole job, including the safety work.
If you want the look without the install, the two we do sell are the StarDrive USB roof projector, which plugs in and comes out just as fast, and the fibre-optic ambient light kit, which tucks a glowing line into the dash and door seams — nowhere near the roof lining.
How much does it cost, roughly?
Most of the range costs less than a lunch out, and even the most expensive single item costs less than a tank of fuel. Prices show in your own currency, and shipping is always free.
Can I return my order?
Yes — tell us within 30 days of delivery, no reason needed, then post it back within 14 days of telling us. You can open it and try it, and you do not need the original packaging. Change-of-mind return postage is on you; if the item is faulty or wrong, it is on us. Full detail on Returns & Refunds.
What if it arrives damaged or wrong?
Send us a photo within 7 days of delivery. We replace it or refund you in full, and you keep the damaged item — you do not need to post anything back.
Do you offer a warranty?
We don’t sell a separate commercial warranty. What you have instead is your full statutory consumer guarantee — two years under EU law — covering anything faulty or not as described. That is the stronger protection of the two.
Do you offer discounts?
Two, and they are separate things.
Buy two or more items and 15% comes off the order. Three or more and it is 18%. Both are automatic — applied at checkout, no code to find, and you can mix anything in the shop.
Separately, joining the newsletter at the bottom of any page gets you a 10% code for your first order.
